UNITED STATES SERVICE ACADEMIES-Senator Pete V. Domenici is now accepting applications for the 2008 competition for nominations to the United States Service Academies.  This is a highly competitive process to be considered for admissions and each applicant must qualify academically, medically, and physically.  All information for your file will not be accepted by Senator Domenici's Office after October 1, 2008.

APRIL 2008 DEADLINES:

Northeastern New Mexico Livestock Association Scholarship, a $500 scholarship for the 2008-09 school year.  Available to applicants with a livestock background who are graduating from high school seniors and university undergraduates.  Pick up application in the Counseling Office.  Deadline: April 1, 2008.

Alpha Mu Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi is accepting Scholarship Applications through April 11, 2008 (postmark deadline).  Pick up application in the Counseling Office.

The New Mexico Teen Pregnancy Coalition is offering two scholarships as follows:

        Category 1:  Senior who is pregnant or parenting

        Category 2:  Senior who is actively involved in strategies for the prevention of teen pregnancy.

Pick up application in the Counseling Office.  Postmark Deadline is April 11, 2008.

Robert C Byrd Honors Scholarship, applications are available in the Counseling Office.  Deadline: must be RECEIVED by NM Public Education Department on or before April 14, 2008.

The AVS NM Chapter announces the 2008 William M Olson/Warren E. Taylor Science and Engineering Scholarships.  Postmark Deadline is April 15, 2008.  Obtain application form at the Counseling Office.

Northern New Mexico Senior Men's Golf Association, a $1,000 or $1,500 Scholarship.  Obtain letter citing application process in the Counseling Office.  Deadline:  Postmarked by April 15, 2008.

May 2008 DEADLINES:

University of Oklahoma Alumni Club of New Mexico. Applications in Counseling Office.  Deadline is May 1, 2008. 

Student Exchange Program

International Student Exchange Program: to qualify must be no younger than 15 nor older than 18 1/2 years of age upon departure, and be mature enough to adjust to the different values, lifestyles, and attitudes of a foreign country.  Must be a student in good standing, in the upper third of your class, or have a B grade average (C for summer programs), be in good health and have excellent character references.  See Counseling office for more information.
